This project aims to renovate the first floor and garden-terrace of a university residence in the upper area of Barcelona in order to provide acoustic improvements, spaciousness and uniformity to the space. For this purpose, the floor has been divided into two conceptual strips separated by a discontinuous front that allows to distinguish the common space from the spaces that require privacy and silence (reception area, work modules, cinema and library).

In the strip of common spaces, a composition of suspended ceilings has been created in order to integrate acoustics and lighting. This composition also acts as a structural grid for the vertical dividers that give depth to the space and distribute it as needed.
